Redesigning a Police Exam Platform

Project

Caveira Police Exams SAAS

Year

2022

Projeto Caveira's platform felt outdated and disconnected from their audience of aspiring police officers. Leading the redesign meant creating more than just a modern interface—it required building an immersive tactical environment that made students feel like they were already part of the force.

Our interviews with 20 users revealed two distinct study patterns: some printed exams and studied with pen and paper, while others spent hours online reviewing performance. Both needed equal attention. This shaped our approach: integrate five study tools—online exams, question banks, interactive summaries, performance dashboards, and flashcards—into one system. Drawing inspiration from Call of Duty and Battlefield, we designed a dark-mode interface that transformed studying into a mission-ready experience.

The response was immediate. Users embraced the tactical aesthetic and unified workflow. Engagement metrics validated we'd struck the right balance between immersion and usability.

The platform grew from 14,000 to 35,000 students in six months, NPS jumped from 69 to 83, and we won silver at the 2021 Bornancini Design Award. When you make studying feel like preparing for duty, students show up ready to work.
